How it works
The page on your music stand becomes something you can listen to in a minute or so.
Photograph the page
Line the page up in the frame. ScoreLens checks the photo is sharp and straight before it sends it. Shoot several pages in a row for a longer piece.
ScoreLens reads it
It finds the staves, then the notes and rhythms. The photo is deleted from the server as soon as the page has been read.

Listen with the cursor following the notes. Halve the speed while you learn a passage, or move the part into another key.

Questions
Can it read piano music?
Not reliably, so we don't promise it. ScoreLens is built for single-line parts: one melody on one staff. Piano writing with both hands at once will come out wrong.
How accurate is it?
Good on clean printed parts, but not perfect. It will sometimes misread a note or a rhythm. The app flags problems it can spot, such as bars that don't add up, and you should check the result against the page before you learn from it.
Do I need an internet connection?
To read a new page, yes: recognition runs on our server. Scores already in your library play offline.
What happens to my photos?
Each photo is uploaded, read and then deleted. The recognised music is held for at most an hour so the app can collect it. There are no accounts, and your library lives only on your phone. The privacy policy has the details.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited pages, and export to MIDI, MusicXML and PDF. Without Pro you get three pages every thirty days, with full playback, tempo and key changes.
When can I get it?
